7 Characteristics of a Healthy Church
Test
There was an element of fear that the devil has tried to inject into the human race over the change of the millennium. This fear has somewhat diminished the spiritual significance of this day. There are some significant things that God wants to do with His church to allow this particular part of His body to communicate His gospel with all of the world. God will have His gospel preached throughout this planet. The communication walls are coming down throughout all societies on the earth. This is the world we live in. We must change with the times in order to stay relevant in how the gospel will be spread. We must trust God and go with Him. He will harvest the earth in ways we never dreamed of. The old school feels loss of control but God is in control. it takes faith and courage to go with Him. Jesus said to Peter that He would build His church. The true church belongs to the Lord and only He can build it. We belong to it and belong to Him. it was bought with His blood. The church will be built with intent and design. it will not be build again or rebuilt; it must be done right the first time. Nothing can prevail against it although hell will resist it. Pressure is present but not prevailing. He said He would give to the church the keys of the kingdom not to the kingdom and He will use us to build it. He is doing the building through us. He gives the instruction and we do the construction. We must accept the personal responsibility that we have for doing our part. We must stay involved in the building. The keys are in our hands. We are built upon the foundation of the fathers in the faith. God requires our involvement in this process. We are being built every day. Together we a re a holy temple unto the Lord. God collectively inhabits us as well as individually inhabits us. We are lively stones. All the stones must be strengthened and fitted together. We must make sure we abide where the Lord fits us. God uses building terminology when He talks about the building of the church. We are framed together as a holy and spiritual house or dwelling. God wants every part taking the place He has designed for that part. No part is more important than any other part. Many parts don?t get any attention because they are functioning properly. One planted another watered and God increased. it is a corporate effort. We are God?s building. All work together as one so all are rewarded in direct proportion to your labor. God rewards our labor with eternal rewards. What we don on the earth after salvation will affect our eternal existence. All have talents and a calling from God. All must develop and use and work with these giftings and talents so we can profit. These giftings are God?s grace gifts to us. We build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. God gives us grace gifts. They are things we don?t work for and are given to us by God. These are things that come to us naturally. Paul said he was a master builder in the kingdom. They tell others how to do things better so more gets done more efficiently. God has set up these master builders to coach and lead other builders. it is the grace of God that brings this gift to one. In order to become the most effective in kingdom work we must work in the area that God has gifted us in. Paul was gifted as an architect in overseeing the building of an aspect of the project. You rarely see a church that emphasizes all of these characteristics. All churches must try to attain a balance between these characteristics. Seven Characteristics of a Healthy Church: 1. The church must be unified in purpose. We must all say the same thing. This is a church with vision and a goal to touch as many people with the gospel as possible. The goal is always constant even thought he methods will change. You cannot always agree on detail but you must always agree on purpose. 2. Every believer has accepted their role in ministry. Ministry isn?t all done by the pastor. We don?t pay them to minister so we do
