Part 1 in A Tale of Two Sons This message renamed The Prodigal son Luke 15:11 The Prodigal Son Pastor King shows how this story of "certain man" and his 2 sons parallels our Heavenly Father the one who turns away from Him and the Christian that is bitter and unforgiving when the "riotous" sons is repentant and received back into the body of Christ. The riotous son has to come to a place where he will own up to his behavior and say "I did it" "I hurt everyone around me that loves me" "I took advantage" "I did it I did it I DID IT". When he owns it then he can be free from it. He chose the riotous lifestyle that took him away from God his family his covering his ministry his destiny. He wallowed with pigs a lifestyle that is beneath him because he chose it. That's when he "came to himself" and knew that his father's servants lived better than that. He returned to his father truly repentant not demanding anything. Not demanding to be put back in the place of a son. He didn't come back to try to get folks to feel sorry for him and to help him out a sign of true repentance. The faithful son was bitter and unforgiving. "why didn?t I get a fatted calf and a celebration?" His vision was clouded by jealousy. He wanted to point his finger and accuse the repentant brother. "Which is the greater sin?"
